If you’re shipping perishables, running a cold-chain operation, or cooling product in transit, 16mm nuggets are the dry ice format you want. The bigger piece size means slower sublimation, which means longer working life in your container and cleaner packing around whatever you’re cooling.
We produce every batch on demand at our Colborne, Ontario facility. The target is 12 hours or less from manufacture to delivery, so the nuggets that reach your dock are hours old, not days. We also overfill at packing to account for sublimation in transit, so the weight you ordered is the weight that actually arrives.

Who We Supply
Nuggets are the workhorse format for any operation that needs sustained cooling in transit or storage. Here are the six sectors we supply most often.
We supply nuggets to cold-chain shippers moving meat, seafood, dairy, prepared foods, and frozen product. Sustained sublimation rate means temperature holds through long-haul transit without water damage or contamination.

That depends on how much you have, how well the container is insulated, ambient temperature, and how often you open the lid. As a rule of thumb, the bigger the piece, the slower it sublimates. Nuggets last noticeably longer than 3mm blasting pellets for the same reason a thick chunk of ice lasts longer than crushed ice in your drink. When you contact us for a quote, we’ll size the order for your transit window and storage setup so the product stays cold from our dock to its destination.

Yes. We offer emergency and rush delivery options for time-critical cold-chain orders. Because we produce in-house and run our own delivery trucks, we can usually respond to last-minute requests faster than redistributors that depend on third-party freight.
Nuggets are for cooling, cold-chain shipping, and storage — anywhere slow, sustained sublimation matters. Pellets are smaller (3mm) and engineered specifically for dry ice blasting equipment.
